Using
services (except book loans)
To use
most services you do not have to join or register with the LIS. When you
contact or visit us, please state that you are an IFA user and give your
IFA member or student number. This will ensure that you are able to use
the LIS and are not quoted non-member charges.
Visiting the
Library
When you
visit the Library, please sign our visitors’ book, writing IFA in the
column headed company. You may of course ask the enquiry desk staff for
help finding the information you need.
Using the
loan service
If you
wish to borrow books you will have to register with the LIS. This can be
done the first time you borrow books. It does not take long and you do
not have to fill in any forms. You can register either when you visit
the Library, or by phone. Please have your IFA member or student number
available. To use the loan service you agree to certain conditions of
use (available at
www.icaew.com/ifalibrary).
Charged
services
If you use
a service for which we charge, you will be asked to pay in advance.
We accept credit and debit card payments (Mastercard, Visa, Maestro
and Delta), cheques or cash. Many LIS services are free and if you do
use a charged for service any charges will be agreed with you
beforehand.
The
Chartered Accountants’ Trust for Education and Research, a registered
