The IFA Council agreed at its June 2011 meeting that the requirement to undertake CPD should be extended to all members in business in the United Kingdom, and those in practice or business internationally, but this would not include members who are fully retired, those no longer working in an accounting/bookkeeping/taxation function, academics (provided they they are performing no practice work), and honorary members, with effect from 1 January 2012.
These guidelines are now available to members and we recommend that all active members read them to keep up-to-date with their CPD requirements.
