Through your studies you need to be working towards successfully showing you can use the knowledge and apply the skills you have learned. You will be assessed by an exam, for each unit of the qualification you choose. We offer 2 exam sessions each year: June and December. The latest exam timetable can be accessed here
You need to register by the exam deadline and pay the fee. You also need to arrange to sit your exams at a suitable centre for which a separate fee is payable to the centre.
You can see past exam papers here
UK based students - you can sit at Pitman centres, or if there is an IFA ATP (accredited training provider) you may sit your exam there.
Ireland based students - you can sit at Pitman centres
International students - you can use your local British Council office, we also have arrangements with certain national exam boards, or if there is a local IFA ATP (Accredited Training Provider) you can sit your exam there.
Exemptions
The IFA gives certain exemptions for those who have sat and passed other accountancy or finance professional qualifications. We will assess if you are eligible for exemption(s) once we recieve your application to become an IFA student.
