IFA Bursary Diplomas in partnership with ISBA

 The IFA has partnered with the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA) to provide finance staff two diploma’s that will support and develop knowledge, provide continuing professional development and offer a route to IFA membership on completion of the two diplomas.

The Independent Schools' Bursars Association (ISBA) supports and advises the bursars and senior management staff of more than 1000 independent schools across the UK and overseas.  Their services are designed to assist school staff in the successful administrative, financial and operational management of their schools. 

The two diplomas are

IFA Bursary Diploma Part 1 covering the following 5 modules

  • Credit management and control
  • Financial statements, internal controls and systems in a business environment
  • Budgeting in a business environment
  • Management information
  • Financial reporting

IFA Bursary Diploma Part 2 covering the following 5 subjects

  • Principles of taxation
  • Law for accounting
  • Business finance
  • Assurance
  • Advanced taxation

Each module delivered through CU Coventry is studied online over a six-week period with access to 30 hours of contact time with a tutor over the course of the module, an online weekly plan of learning, supporting learning materials and an online library. The module culminates with an exam / assessment.
