Experience
Farshath Jamal is a distinguished leader in the global education and professional finance sectors, currently serving as the Regional Ambassador for the IFA, UK, covering Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Nepal. With over 15 years of cross-disciplinary experience, Farshath is recognised for his strategic vision in aligning international academic standards with regional market needs. As the CEO of the British Institute of Management and Technology (BIMT Campus), he has been a driving force behind the institution’s rapid growth and its reputation for excellence in professional development.
Alongside his executive responsibilities, Farshath is an experienced lecturer and academic mentor, having taught Business Law, Auditing, Economics, and Business Management at several institutions.
Academically, Farshath holds a Master of Laws (LLM) and has conducted postgraduate research on the effectiveness of audited financial statements in assessing creditworthiness and their impact on the financial system. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and professional qualifications from the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Sri Lanka. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Law, with research centred on corporate governance and digital transformation, examining the legal implications of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.
His contributions to education, entrepreneurship, and management excellence have received national and provincial recognition. Notable achievements include the Gold Award for Best Management Practices (SMEs Cluster) from the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers (CPM) Sri Lanka (2025), multiple honours at the CPM Management Leadership Excellence Awards, and the “45 Under 45 Leadership Excellence Platinum Award” from the Global CEO Forum.
