Finance leaders celebrated at the 2026 IFA Awards

Leaders in financial accounting were recognised at the second Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) Awards, held on 25 June in London as part of the IFA Annual Conference.
The awards celebrated outstanding talent, dedication, and innovation across the profession, with winners chosen for their achievements, impact, and alignment with the IFA’s values of integrity, service, and professional excellence.
IFA Member of the Year – Ashoka Manel Hetti Arachchi Vidanage
Ashoka was recognised for exceptional professional growth and technical leadership since relocating to the UK. Judges praised her commitment to mentoring others and her long-term educational sponsorships and fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, describing her as "reliable, thoughtful and a true partner."
IFA Practice of the Year – Robert Lewis Accountants
Robert Lewis Accountants impressed judges with its growth from a small practice to serving more than 2,000 clients while maintaining customer service excellence. The firm was commended for its support of apprenticeships, charitable giving, and staff development, with judges noting "great testimonials from team members" and holistic client support.
IFA Emerging Professional of the Year – Chandran Sharma
Chandran was recognised for his rapid professional progress since establishing his practice in December 2024, growing his client base from five to 110 while supporting local family businesses. Judges highlighted his commitment to professional development and community engagement, including pro bono work for charities and involvement with Soroptimist International.
Highly Commended – Vicki Summersby
Vicki received a Highly Commended award for her innovative adoption of profit-first, principles-based accounting and her Purpose First Finance initiative, helping individuals align financial decisions with their values. Judges noted her "kindness, patience and care," describing her as a deserving recipient.
IFA Lifetime Achievement Award – Raymond Harris
Raymond Harris was honoured for a career spanning over 50 years across public practice, industry, and consultancy. An IFA Fellow for nearly two decades, he was recognised for his long-standing commitment to the Institute and his contribution to strengthening its reputation through professionalism and service.
