Cyber crime continues to pose a significant threat to individuals and organisations of all sizes, with small businesses and practices often particularly vulnerable to attack.
This session provides a current law enforcement perspective on the most common cyber threats and explores how individuals and organisations can reduce their risk of becoming victims. Attendees will learn how cyber criminals exploit weaknesses through phishing, poor password security, ransomware and other forms of attack, alongside practical preventative measures that can be applied immediately.
The session will also include a live dark web demonstration, providing insight into what happens to stolen data and money after a cyber attack and how criminal networks operate behind the scenes.
