Kevin Reed (Chair)

Kevin Reed is one of the UK's most senior accounting and finance journalists. He has written for, edited or managed various business and finance titles, and is editor of the IFA's Financial Accountant magazine.
Kevin has chaired the judging and presented the British Accountancy Awards and Business Finance Awards. He is a current Accounting Excellence Awards judge.
Dr Sara Abdaless

Dr Sara Abdaless is Associate Professor in Accounting and Finance and Deputy Academic Director (Students) for the Centre for Apprenticeships at Northeastern University London. She also serves as Programme Lead for the BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting and Finance (Accounting Finance Manager Degree Apprenticeship).
With more than 12 years’ experience in UK higher education, Dr Abdaless has held senior academic leadership roles at London South Bank University where she led extensive programme portfolios and degree apprenticeship routes.
Dr Abdaless holds a PhD in Accounting from Henley Business School (University of Reading) and a PGCAPHE from King’s College London.
Angela Wood

Angela Wood is the Managing Director of ETC Tax, where she oversees the day-to-day running of the practice, including operations, finance, HR and marketing.
A Chartered Tax Adviser, Angela is also part of the ETC Team of tax specialists, with particular expertise in property taxation and tax issues arising in corporate transactions.
Before joining ETC, Angela built a diverse career as a private client tax and wealth adviser, tax lawyer, and corporate-commercial lawyer. Nearly 25 years on, she continues to enjoy the challenges and opportunities the tax profession brings.
Graham Hambly

Graham is the Publisher and Editor of PQ magazine. He is a member of the HMRC Agent Support Group, and part of the curriculum advisory team at the University of Winchester, Division of Accounting, Finance and Economics.
He was recently awarded the Michael Kintore Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Profession at the 2024 LUCA awards, and has an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration, BPP University, Dr BA (Hon).
Tim Pinkney

Tim has a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years in accountancy and regulatory environments where he was responsible for overseeing disciplinary functions and AML supervision.
As Director of Professional Standards at the IFA Tim is responsible for regulatory issues relating to members in public practice as well as oversight of the practice monitoring process.
Prior to working for a professional accountancy body Tim spent time in public practice, working as a management accountant for the NHS as well as numerous roles in industry and the voluntary sector. Tim is also a member of the International Compliance Association (ICA) and holds the ICA International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering.
