Northern Ireland | 17 September

Join Bill McGregor, your IFA Regional Ambassador, for the third Northern Ireland regional meeting of this year. This event offers an engaging and educational opportunity to continue your professional development, combining professional learning while connecting with fellow members and industry peers.
We are pleased to be joined by Andrew Goulter, Wealth Managerment Consultant from Mattioli Woods who will deliver;
Protect. Grow. Preserve – Strategy for everyone to navigate the changing market circumstances
- Inheritance Tax Planning in a Changing Landscape — With frozen thresholds and the proposed inclusion of pension assets in estates from 2027, clients need IHT strategies now, not later.
- Protection Gaps: Life, Income & Business — Identifying where clients — particularly business owners — are underinsured relative to their net worth and liabilities.
- Tax-Efficient Wrappers & Vehicles — The role of all the different wealth structures in building a tax-efficient wealth structure from beginning to end.
- Are annuities back in vogue? – An older piece of planning is becoming more relevant in the current market.
- Pensions are still relevant — Making the most of annual allowances and carry forward opportunities before further legislative changes reduce flexibility.
- Investment risk – Understanding that not all risks are made equal.
Andrew Goulter joined the Mattioli Woods in 2017 following a successful career in business management. He brings a practical and personal approach to financial planning, with particular expertise and interest in Inheritance Tax planning, helping clients make informed decisions that balance tax efficiency with their individual circumstances and long-term financial security.
This in-person event will also include:
- A welcome and update from IFA, including introductions to new and existing members.
- A short business-focused presentation.
- An opportunity to refresh your knowledge, gain industry insight and earn 2 CPD hours.
- Dedicated time for networking with members and professional contacts.
The meeting is open to non-members, and we encourage you to bring colleagues or professional contacts who may benefit from attending.
Attendance in person is mandatory for CPD accreditation. If, for any reason, you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you do not register for this event.
