This informative session will provide an in-depth update on the latest Companies House reforms, including key developments around accounts, IDV, and the role of ACSPs.

About the speakers:
Victoria Taylor
Victoria Taylor is the Principal Policy Adviser for Identity Verification (IDV) and Authorised Corporate Service Providers (ACSPs) at Companies House. Victoria has overarching responsibility for developing and operationalising this legislative reform policy. IDV measures will play a key role in combatting economic crime and enhancing the integrity of register data. Mandatory IDV for directors (and equivalents) of UK-based companies will initially capture approximately 7 million individuals and denotes one of the most significant changes to the companies register since 1844. Victoria also holds over 20 years leadership experience within the Civil Service, having previously delivered operational roles within DWP and HMRC.
Henry Vaile
Henry Vaile is Principal Policy Advisor for Accounts & Reporting at Companies House, responsible for delivery of all Companies Act related policy changes relating to
the filing of accounts. The policy team works closely with colleagues in the Department of Business and Trade and other cross-Government partners to support the implementation of the new Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 and to ensure Companies House systems and processes are compliant with the law.
Carl Palfrey

Carl Palfrey is a Lead Business Analyst at Companies House. He Started with Companies House 23 years ago in the Operations Department. After spending some years in the operations teams, he joined the Analysis Team 15 years ago. For the last 10 years Carl has been working on Companies House iXBRL accounts services and Taxonomy implementation. This work covers web and software delivery systems. Carl also represents Companies House on The Financial Reporting Council Technical Task Force.
