Complaint

The complaint against Mr Keys was that he failed to submit self-assessment tax returns for himself since the year 2012-2013; failed to submit self-assessment tax returns for multiple years for a number of his clients; failed to act in his clients' best interests by using his own address as a correspondence address for a substantial proportion of his clients; and made unfulfilled promises to rectify these issues. 

Finding

The Disciplinary Committee found the complaint proved and that Mr Keys was guilty of professional misconduct within the meaning of Bye-law 13.1. 

Order

Mr Keys was expelled and ordered to pay the IFA’s costs of £1325.
