Complaint

The Member has breached the Fundamental Principles of the Code of Ethics, subsection 112 ‘Objectivity’, subsection113 ‘Professional Competence and Due Care’ and subsection 115 ‘Professional Behaviour’, by acting as Trustee when there was significant non compliance with the Charities SORP FRS 102, failing to act without influence or perceived influence for two separate charities. Further, declaring in his 2022 and 2023 Annual Member Returns that he had not been notified of a potential investigation, and that he was not currently in the process of any investigation and that his conduct was dishonest in respect of those Annual Member Returns.

Finding

The Disciplinary Committee found the matters proved.  

Sentencing Order

Removed from the Register of Members, Severe Reprimand. Fined £5,000 and ordered to pay costs of £10,398.
