Complaint: The complaint was that the Member exercised a lien over the accounting records of her former clients company and failed to provide professional clearance by withholding the former clients company employee payroll records, in breach of the fundamental principles of ‘Professional Competence and Due Care’ and ‘Professional Behaviour’ in the Code of Ethics.

Finding: The Investigation Committee found the matters proved.

Consent order: Severe reprimand, and costs of £2,525.
