Complaint:

The IFA complaint was that Mr Nathu breached IFA Continuing Professional Development (‘CPD’) Regulations 3.1 (a) and (c) in that he failed to keep under review his learning needs and undertake CPD in the calendar years of 2022 and 2023. In addition, he failed to keep record of his CPD in 2023 in breach of IFA CPD Regulation 5.1.

Finding: 

The Regulatory Committee found that there was a prima facie case to answer that rendered Mr Nathu liable to disciplinary action under IFA Bye-law 11.2 (c) for breaching IFA Continuing Professional Development Regulations 5.1 and 3.1(a) and (c).

Consent order:

Reprimand, fine of £1100 and costs of £710.
