Join IFA Executive Director, UK Jonathan Barber and IFA regional ambassador Duncan Walker for the IFA Scotland regional networking event.
We are thrilled to be joined by Andrew Conway, IPA Group CEO, who will provide members with the latest updates from across the group.
We will also be joined by Iain Duff from the Bank of England who will provide an economic update.
Iain's session will provide and overview of the current economic situation including the Bank of England's view on:
- output growth
- consumer and corporate demand
- the labour market including wage pressures
- costs and prices
- economic forecasts
- monetary policy
We will also be joined by Paul O'Kell from EB Now who will deliver a talk on 6 ways to mitigate the N.I. increase
Employee benefits have historically been available to corporate and enterprise-sized businesses allowing its employees to have things like prompt GP appointments, mental health support and discounts with major brands.
This session will focus on several areas where benefits can mitigate the recent employer National Insurance contribution increase.
This is a FACE-TO-FACE NETWORKING EVENT which will also include:
- an IFA update and welcome to new and fellow IFA members;
- a short business-related talk; and
- an opportunity to network with other IFA members and professional colleagues.

About the speaker:
Iain Duff
Iain is Deputy Agent for Scotland at the Bank of England having joined the Bank in March 2009. Immediately prior to that Iain was Chief Economist & Policy Manager at SCDI (now Prosper). Before joining SCDI, Iain worked as an economic researcher in various universities including Liverpool, St Andrews and Dundee where his main interest were in macroeconomics and regional economic development. Iain has an Honours degree in Applied Economics from Dundee Institute of Technology (now Abertay University).
