Join Jonathan Barber, IFA Executive Director – UK, for the first Southwest of England and Wales regional event of 2026. This meeting offers an engaging and educational start to the first quarter of the year, combining professional learning with valuable networking opportunities. 

We are pleased to be join by Tatiana VP, Cyber Protect, Prepare & Prevent Officer | Regional  Economic and Cyber Crime Unit (RECCU), who will run a Cyber Escape Room. 

The DCI has been locked up and the entire case against APT is in jeopardy!

Well...at least that’s the case in our Cyber Escape Room! Put yourself in the shoes of a cyber detective and take on a series of fun challenges to help clear va member of your unit. Participants will learn top cyber security tips which will help protect you, your family, and your organisation from cyber crime.

This workshop is aimed at non-technical personnel (although everyone is welcome to have a go!), and uses gamification to engage different types of learners and make the subject matter more accessible.

This session will cover:

  • Passwords
  • Phishing
  • Digital footprint
  • Protecting devices
  • Backup

Car

  • Take the M5 motorway and leave at Junction 16 (Almondsbury).
  • From the junction, follow signs for the A38 towards Almondsbury and the B4061/Blackhorse Hill.
  • Enter St Swithins Park, Blackhorse Hill, Almondsbury.
  • Destination postcode: BS10 7TP.

Bus

  •  Take the T1 bus route (to either Bristol City Centre or Thornbury) via Almondsbury.
  • Travel to the bus stop at Almondsbury (e.g., “Almondsbury, The Swan” stop).
  • From the stop, walk along Blackhorse Hill or cross into St Swithins Park to reach the Golf Club.

Train

  • Travel to Bristol Parkway railway station.
  • From the station, you can take a taxi (approx. 9 mins) or the T1 bus towards Thornbury to Almondsbury, The Swan Hotel bus stop.
  • The Golf Club is a short walk away from the bus stop (approx.12 mins).
