Southwest of England & Wales | 2 July

Join Jonathan Barber, IFA Executive Director – UK, for the second Southwest of England and Wales regional event of this year. This meeting offers an engaging and educational opportunity to build on this year's programme, combining professional learning whilst connecting with your industry peers.
We are also pleased to be joined by Sam Talby from CMT Business Recovery who will deliver an insightful session on Clients Under the Shadow of Insolvency.
This workshop addresses the critical challenges faced by clients — and their advisers — when a business is experiencing financial distress or approaching insolvency. Attendees will gain practical guidance on assessing a client’s financial position, recognising early warning signs, and understanding when it is essential to involve specialist support.
The session is particularly relevant for non-insolvency professionals who may be asked for advice outside their formal qualifications or professional indemnity cover.
This talk will cover:
- Understanding the life cycle of a company
- Recognising the approach to insolvency and the perils along the way
- Managing both adviser and client expectations and concerns
- The rationale for engaging a business recovery professional
- Adopting an ethical and responsible approach
