UK membership and practising certificate fees 2026

Our annual renewal period runs from January to December. If you joined us in October, November or December, you will be granted membership until 31 December of the following year.

The annual renewal fee is raised in November for the next calendar year.

During renewals, you will have the ability to make payments by instalments, auto-renew or set up direct debit.

United Kingdom fees 

Where you have not studied any IFA Direct units, you will also need to pay:

£179 one-off non-refundable application fee
£160  one-off exemption fee

The application fee includes a fit-and-proper assessment fee and a certification of eligibility for membership fee.

All applicants will need to pay the appropriate annual member fee, as shown in the table below.  

Where you require an IFA practising certificate, you will also need to pay the practising certificate fee as detailed in the table below and the appropriate firm fee if you meet the member firm definition.

All fees quoted are inclusive of VAT.
