Glasgow | 11 June

Join, Shaima Mol Thassim Naseena, your IFA Regional Ambassador, for the second Scotland (Glasgow) regional event of 2026. This meeting offers an engaging and educational opportunity to build on this year's programme, combining professional learning whilst connecting with your industry peers.
We are pleased to be joined by Liz Smith from the Cyber and Fraud Unit, Specialist Crime Division, Police Scotland. Liz will deliver a talk on, Secure AI, cyber resilience, and the first hour that really matters
- Why cyber resilience and AI governance now sit firmly with leadership, not just IT
- The real-world risk of Shadow AI, and why firms need a clear AI policy covering what people can and cannot use, what data must never be entered into AI tools, and how those decisions should be communicated
- How to make secure, practical choices around AI adoption, including why Microsoft Copilot is a strong option for organisations that want productivity gains within a controlled and business-ready environment
- The practical baseline every firm should have in place, including Cyber Essentials, tighter control of access, and better visibility of devices, data, and suppliers
- Supply chain risk for accountants, including third-party access, accountability, and the danger of someone else’s cyber issue becoming your problem
- A short interactive cyber exercise looking at the first hour of a ransomware incident, helping attendees think through decision-making, communications, and priorities under pressure
Attendance in person is mandatory for CPD accreditation. If, for any reason, you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you do not register for this event.
