Join Robin Murray, your IFA Regional Ambassador, for Northern England (Leeds) informative regional event. This event offers an engaging and educational opportunity to continue your professional development, combining professional learning while connecting with fellow members and industry peers.
We are also pleased to be join by David Pullen from West Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit who will deliver a talk on Cyber Protect Awareness.
This session will raise cyber security awareness, helping you to understand how cyber attacks occur and the practical steps they can take to reduce risk. Covering both personal and organisational perspectives, it will explore common threats, preventative measures, and best practice for protecting sensitive data, client information, and business systems.
David Pullen is currently working in cybersecurity within the Protect strategy, David has extensive experience conducting safeguarding investigations across Yorkshire. With a strong background in managing serious and complex cyber security investigations and caseloads, he brings valuable practical insight into protecting individuals and organisations from cyber threats.
In addition, Esther Voss, Professional Services Consultant at TaxCalc and Engager, will deliver a practical session on how to run your practice in the same way you would advise your clients to run theirs.

- Effective communications
Drawing on five years’ experience as a Business Manager, where she helped implement TaxCalc, Esther brings valuable real-world insight to her role. Through tailored demos and training, she specialises in Practice Management, helping firms become more efficient, productive, and profitable.
This in-person event will also include:
- A welcome and update from IFA, including introductions to new and existing members.
- A short business-focused presentation.
- An opportunity to refresh your knowledge, gain industry insight and earn 2 CPD hours.

The meeting is open to non-members, and we encourage you to bring colleagues or professional contacts who may benefit from attending.

Car
- Exit the M62 at Junction 28 and follow the signs towards the A650.
- The hotel is located a short drive from the roundabout (sign posts to the hotel can be found from there).
- Parking is available on-site.
Bus
- There are a number of buses that serve the area. The nearest bus stops are; Topcliffe Lane/Glendale Estate and Rein Rd/Tingley Crescent (approx. 8 minutes walk from the hotel).
- Take the bus number 202 towards Tingley Roundabout from Leeds station (approx. 30-50 minutes journey time).
Train
- The nearest station is Morley Railway Station. Take either bus number 47 or 425 towards the hotel.
- You may take the train to Leeds railway station and take the bus number 202 towards Tingley Roundabout.
- Alternatively, a taxi can be taken from either station.
