Renew your membership and practising certificate by paying your annual fees and completing your annual returns via the member dashboard by 1 January 2025.

Renew your membership

In order to renew your membership all you have to do is:

1. Complete your member return via your member dashboard
2. Pay your membership fee via your member dashboard

Renew your practising certificate

If you are in practice and renewing your practising certificate you will need to :

1. Complete your member return via your member dashboard
2. Pay your membership fee via your member dashboard
3. Pay your practising certificate fee via your member dashboard
4. If supervised by the IFA as an IFA member firm, pay your firm fee to ensure you are supervised by the IFA for compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations (MLR) 2017, complete your firm return and any subsequent affiliate returns.

We will send your 2025 practising certificate once all fees are paid, your annual member return, and, if applicable, your annual firm return and any subsequent affiliate returns are completed.

Accessing your member dashboard

1. Go to the login icon at the top right of the screen.
2. Enter your IFA membership number and password.
3. Ensure your personal details, contact details, CPD records, and professional interests are up to date. 
4. Select Annual Payment from the options on the left-hand side of the screen.
5. Follow the guidance and make payment in full or set up instalments.
6. Complete your annual member return.

If you experience any problems logging on please contact the membership team.

Completing your member return, and if applicable firm return, is an annual mandatory requirement as set out in the IFA bye-laws and Membership, member firms, affiliates and student regulations.

If you believe there is any reason why you are unable to meet your member obligations, including incapacity, you must inform the IFA immediately.
