Access to Intermediate Financial Accountant (IFA) membership 
Graduates who have completed the Level 4 Extended Diploma in Accounting and have one year’s work experience will be eligible to apply for Intermediate Financial Accountant membership. 

Access to Associate Financial Accountant (AFA) membership 
Graduates who have completed Level 4, Level 5 Extended Diploma in Accounting and Level 7 Diploma in Accounting and Finance will be eligible to apply for Associate membership of the IFA and a practising certificate if required.  

Graduates who have completed the Level 4, Level 5 qualifications and Corporate Reporting for strategic business – advanced and UK taxation for business and individuals – advanced at Level 7 will be eligible to apply for Associate membership of the IFA and a practising certificate if required. 

Graduates who have completed the qualifications and the modules detailed above but have less than 3 years’ work experience, but more than one year’s experience can apply for Intermediate Financial Accountant (IFA) membership if they do not require a practising certificate.
