Graduates who have at least one year’s sufficient relevant experience in the accountancy sector or a related field can apply to become an Intermediate Financial Accountant IFA AIPA.
Graduates who have completed the optional taxation unit and have at least three years' sufficient relevant experience in the accountancy sector or a related field can apply to become an Associate Financial Accountant AFA MIPA after successfully completing and passing the following units from the IFA Direct education programme:
- Level 7 Corporate reporting for strategic business – advanced
- Level 7 UK taxation for business and individuals - advanced
Graduates who have not completed the optional taxation unit will need to have at least three years' sufficient relevant experience in the accountancy sector or a related field and study the following units from the IFA Direct education programme before being eligible for Associate Financial Associate AFA MIPA membership:
- Level 4 Personal taxation
- Level 5 Business taxation
- Level 7 Corporate reporting for strategic business – advanced
- Level 7 UK taxation for business and individuals
